The Center for Financial Inclusion is continuing its work on Financial Inclusion 2020, or FI2020, a program directed at building a movement to mobilize stakeholders to achieve full global inclusion with the year 2020 as a target date.
The CFI team identifies three principal activities in the FI2020 program:
- Mapping what has been called the “invisible market,” the unbanked poor that are not engaged with a formal financial system.
- Creating blueprints for ways in which to reach new or underserved markets,
- examination of ways to access and serve aging demographics.
Their blog series for the program is spotlighting financial inclusion efforts and sharing insights from financial inclusion thought leaders, applying a specific focus on quality beyond access.
The GSNs at Work blog series highlights the important work of GSNs across all our hub topics. The posts in this series are featured on the AT WORK page.
